Salma Jayyusi, (Ph.D. University of London), is a poet, critic and anthologist. She edited the widely appraised The Legacy of Muslim Spain (Leiden, 1992)
Renata Holod is professor of Islamic Art, Architecture, and Archaeology at the University of Pennsylvania, and author of publications on contemporary as well as historic buildings, sites and territories.
Attilio Petruccioli, is Chief Editor of Environmental Design, and author of numerous publications on urban architecture, Islamic architecture, and the methodology of design. He is dean of the School of Architecture at the Polytechnical University of Bari.
André Raymond, Agrégé in history (1947), D.Phil (oxon)(1954) , Docteur d'Etat (Sorbonne, 1972), is currently emeritus professor at the University of Provence. He published a number of books and studies about the great Arab cities in the Ottoman period (mainly on Cairo, Aleppo, Tunis).
